Archduchess Gabriela von Habsburg ...

So, it was in the middle 1980's when Gabriela who everyone called Sophie came into my boutique in the Puerto Banus, Marbella, Spain. I am reminded of this story because of the auction of Elizabeth Taylor and her jewelry - because - The grandaughter of Charles the 1st, the Last Emperor of Austria had with her, in a Gucci bag, the 'Famous Habsburg Jewels' .. a necklace and ear rings .. huge stones had to of been worth millions of dollars .. no body guards - nothing just her and the stuff .. She wanted some dresses that matched the color of the rubies, emeralds, pearls, diamonds you name it was on this necklace/ear ring set they matched each other. So, anyway I made her a dress - to wear in Russia to match the jewelry and another dress more casual to wear to a party she was giving with Philippe Junot the next night he was 16 years older than her and had been married to Princess Caroline of Monaco, they were having an affair !! They had hired an old pirate ship to take people out to sea at night in the Puerto Banus and then back again.. she invited me, and one hundred paparazzi were there at least.. I told her I had a house guest from Hollywood a hairstylist named Elle Elliot and she said "bring her".. I was six years older than Sophie!! In 1993, when, I went broke and had to sell out in Europe and go back to New York she was the only one that came to the airport to see me off and say good-bye, she came with her white borzoi dog! She hated it, when I used her full title, when I would introduce her to people, she prefers no titles,

but, I like all of that fairytale stuff!! A castle with a Archduchess would be cool... She was the only one in her family that ever married a commoner a lawyer from Germany, she had three kids with him .. So jealous. Serene highness is right - that is how you feel in her company .. she was very SERENE & Beautiful .. Royal blue blood .. sexy too !!!!
